Start with the theme and the visitor journey
A WordPress website brings together a theme, page builder, plugins, content, and hosting. Each can affect how a person moves through the site. Before adding a toolbar, identify the journeys you want to improve: reading an article, finding a service, completing a form, or using a store.
AbleBrowse adds visitor-controlled adjustments to that experience. It does not replace the work of fixing a poorly labeled form, an inaccessible menu, or a checkout component that cannot be operated with a keyboard.
A server-side plugin installation
The supported WordPress delivery path installs the client package on the website’s hosting. Visitor assets and saved preferences are served from that environment. Confirm that your WordPress plan permits the necessary plugin and server functionality; a custom-script field alone does not establish compatibility.
Have the person responsible for hosting involved in setup. They should review the package requirements, protected storage, update process, and backups. Keep the initial rollout on a staging website until the key paths have been checked.
Check the experience in context
- Open the launcher on article, search, contact, and transaction pages.
- Change text size and spacing, then check whether the theme wraps content without losing controls.
- Use keyboard navigation through menus, forms, and the toolbar.
- Save preferences and confirm they return after navigating and reopening the browser.
- Submit an accessibility report and verify the owner’s receipt.
- Repeat relevant checks after changing caching, theme, page-builder, or form settings.
These are installation checks, not an exhaustive WordPress accessibility audit. Use representative content and tasks, including content created by people who do not edit the theme.
Keep accessible content part of publishing
Give images appropriate alternatives, use headings for structure, write meaningful links, and keep instructions close to the controls they explain. Review downloadable documents and embedded services as well as ordinary pages. A well-configured plugin cannot guarantee the quality of future content.
Request an installation review with your website address, WordPress hosting details, and any important plugins or page builders. That gives the review a useful starting point.
