Choose a more comfortable contrast
The Contrast control offers high contrast, desaturation, and inversion alongside the original presentation. A visitor can compare those views directly on the page and keep the one they prefer. The Color shift control provides another display adjustment.
These settings respond to individual preferences. They do not establish that the original design meets a particular contrast requirement. Your website should begin with text and controls that people can distinguish clearly, including error messages, labels, and information placed over photographs.
Make room for a quieter page
The Animation control pauses CSS animations. This gives visitors a direct way to reduce movement created by those animations while they read or navigate. It does not promise to pause every video, animated image, or movement controlled by a separate script.
Website owners should also respect reduced-motion preferences and provide controls for moving media at the source. If movement is part of a transaction or an instruction, offer a way to understand that information without depending on the animation.
Bring image descriptions into view
When Images is enabled, pointing at an image can reveal its available text description. This is useful when an image’s detail is hard to distinguish, but the quality of the description depends on the text supplied for that image.
A decorative image may appropriately have an empty alternative. An informative image needs a meaningful description, and a linked image needs a name that explains its destination or action. AbleBrowse does not make a missing or misleading description accurate just by displaying it.
Combine the choices that help
A visitor might use high contrast with a larger font, or keep the original colors and switch on a reading guide. The controls are independent, and the launcher indicates when personalization is active. Reset all gives visitors a clear way back to the original view.
Explore the reading controls for text and spacing, or use our website review checklist to examine the design underneath the toolbar.
