Your visit, explained

Know what
your choices save.

This page describes the data used by this AbleBrowse website’s visitor tools and contact forms.

Visitor preferences

The toolbar uses a randomly generated browser identity cookie to retrieve settings from this website’s server. The server stores a hashed form of that identity alongside your selected preferences. Preferences are retained for up to 180 days after their most recent save.

The settings are not saved as form answers in browser local storage. Reset all replaces the saved settings with defaults. Clearing the identity cookie means the browser can no longer retrieve its previous settings; it does not immediately remove the server record.

Reports and contact requests

If you submit an accessibility report, the website stores your description, optional email, a random report identifier, and the page address with its query and fragment removed. If you use the contact form, it stores the fields you submit and associates the request with your visitor identity.

These records are available in the owner’s private website inbox for handling feedback and inquiries. They remain there until removed by the website operator; no automatic message-retention deadline is currently configured. Do not include passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal information in these forms.

Reading assistance and hosting

Read-aloud uses local device voices. Supported on-device language features process through browser capabilities and may require browser-managed model downloads. This installation does not enable AbleBrowse usage analytics or load remote font services.

Hosting and security providers process requests needed to operate the website. This page describes application behavior, not every provider’s logs or retention practices. Customer-hosted AbleBrowse installations are operated under the relevant website owner’s policies.

Questions about your data

Use the contact form and choose “Privacy question” to ask about a submitted request. Include enough non-sensitive context to identify it. An anonymous preference record cannot be connected to a person just from their name.
